Information We Collect
When you use XMarks, we collect the following information:
- X Account Information: Your X username, display name, and profile picture when you sign in with X.
- Bookmarks: Your X bookmarks that you choose to sync with XMarks.
- Usage Data: How you interact with our service, including categories you create and bookmarks you organize.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the XMarks service
- Categorize your bookmarks using AI
- Power the Discover feature with anonymized, aggregated data
- Send important service updates
Data Privacy
Your bookmarks are private by default. We do not share your personal data with third parties except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., payment processing through Stripe).
The Discover feature uses fully anonymized, aggregated data. Your identity is never attached to recommendations shown to other users.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can export your bookmarks at any time from Settings. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all associated data within 30 days.
